John was born in Saskatchewan and grew up in the small farming community of Indian Head. After high school he obtained an engineering degree from the University of Saskatchewan and moved to Calgary. Most of his career has been spent in the IT industry where he is currently an IT architect. John met his lovely wife here in Calgary and has been married for over 30 years. He is the proud father of 7 adopted children, aged 14 to 24. John was baptized into the United Church as a child and converted to Catholicism at St Peters in 1990. He has been a member of the parish since then and is looking forward to bringing his analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills to the Parish Council to do whatever God needs of him.
