Children’s Liturgy
What is it?
The Children’s Liturgy of the Word is a program designed for children ages 4–7 (or until they receive their First Communion) to experience the Liturgy of the Word in a way that is engaging and age-appropriate. Held during the 9:30 a.m. Sunday Mass, this program helps children connect with the Gospel message through reflection, prayer, and related activities.
Program Overview
- At the beginning of Mass, children will receive a blessing at the front of the sanctuary and then process downstairs to classrooms.
- The Gospel is proclaimed, followed by reflection and activities that bring the Word of God to life.
- Children will return to their families in the sanctuary for the Liturgy of the Eucharist and the conclusion of Mass.
- The program runs until June, with updates and communication provided through the Flocknote community group.

Children must be registered to participate.

How to Volunteer
The program is seeking volunteers to help lead and supervise sessions. Training is provided, and schedules are flexible to accommodate availability.
What They Need from Volunteers
- Session Leaders: Teach and lead activities during the program.
- Support Helpers: Assist with supervising children and facilitating crafts or activities.
- Flexible Scheduling: Volunteers can contribute based on their availability.
