Church Linens

What is it?

The Church Linens Ministry ensures that the vestments and linens used during Mass and other liturgical celebrations are clean, pressed, and ready for use. Volunteers wash and press smaller linens and arrange for the dry cleaning of items that cannot be laundered at home. This behind-the-scenes work is essential to maintaining the reverence and beauty of our liturgical celebrations.

How to Volunteer

This ministry is a wonderful way to serve the parish in a flexible and meaningful capacity. Volunteers typically take turns caring for the linens on a rotating schedule. Training and guidance are provided to ensure proper handling of these important items.

What They Need from Volunteers

  • Laundry and Ironing Help: Wash and press smaller linens used during Mass.

  • Dry Cleaning Coordination: Arrange for the cleaning of larger items that cannot be washed at home.

  • Reliability: Volunteers are asked to commit to their assigned rotation to ensure linens are always ready for use.

The Church Linens Ministry offers a simple yet profound way to contribute to the life of the parish, ensuring that these important elements of our worship are treated with care and respect. If you feel called to assist, please get in touch!
