St. Vincent de Paul
What is it?
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Peter’s is a lay Catholic ministry dedicated to serving individuals and families in need within our local community. Grounded in the spirit of charity and Christian service, SSVP offers support through food hampers, grocery gift cards, and compassionate outreach. All support is offered confidentially and with respect, regardless of religion or background.
How to Volunteer
This ministry is always looking for new volunteers, and the commitment is very flexible – help as often or as little as your schedule allows. Volunteers serve by:
- Preparing and delivering food hampers
- Sorting and packing weekly bread donations
- Assisting with our annual Christmas hamper program
- Helping behind the scenes with coordination and logistics
Whether you can offer regular support or help just once in a while, there’s a place for you on the team.
What They Need from Volunteers
- Occasional Deliveries: People willing to pack and deliver hampers or assist with food organization.
- Organizers & Packers: Help sort weekly bread donations or prepare special hampers and gifts at Christmas.
- Flexible Time: This ministry is ideal for those who want to serve but need a schedule that fits around other commitments.
